Stainless steel tubing is mainly used for transport of fluid and gas in pneumatic, hydraulic or process applications. This includes uses in industries such as the automotive industry, construction, architecture, process industries, and aluminium smelting facilities, food and sugar production plants, oil refineries and power plants. There are three dimensions of tubing generally ordered. These are Outside Diameter (O.D.), Inside Diameter (I.D.) and wall thickness. Accordingly, the difference of tubing from pipes is that tubing’s diameter is designed and used for product specification and for its particular uses while pipes are for general purposes.

• Cut to length Tubing - cutting the tubing to the exact length is important to suit every industrial need. Other factors which affect tolerance in cutting are the grades of stainless steel and the finish of tubing.
